Association of Fundraising Professionals – Greater Florida Caucus
2021-2022 EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE Application
Officers: The Officers of the Caucus are to be no more than 7 individuals and shall consist of a President, Vice-President(s), Secretary, Treasurer, President-Elect, and Immediate Past President. All officers shall be members of the Caucus Board of Directors. All Caucus Officers shall serve without financial compensation. These officers shall perform the duties prescribed herein, and by the parliamentary authority adopted by the AFP Florida Caucus.
Terms of Service: Caucus Officers terms shall be for two years. The Caucus Nominating Committee may, at their discretion, present a candidate for re-election to the same office. No members shall hold more than one office at a time and no members shall be eligible to serve more than two consecutive terms in the same office.
President: The President of the Caucus shall have the authority commonly designated and vested in the office of the President, and shall perform all related duties including but not limited to, presiding over all meetings of the Caucus Board, preparation of the agenda for the annual meeting and other regular meetings, and having general knowledge of and responsibility for supervision of the business of the Florida Caucus. The President shall also perform such other duties as the Caucus Board may designate and shall serve ex-officio on all Standing Committees.
Vice-President(s): The Vice President(s) shall perform all duties of the President during the absence or disability of the President and such other duties as the Caucus Board may designate.
Treasurer: The Treasurer of the Caucus shall have the authority commonly designated and vested in the office of Treasurer, ensuring the fiscal integrity of the Florida Caucus and shall perform all related duties including receiving, maintaining and distributing adequate records of the Caucus’s funds in accordance with Internal Revenue Code requirements and any state requirements in addition to assisting in the preparation of the budget and monitoring Caucus expenditures. The Treasurer shall also provide all financial records to the members of the Caucus at the request of the President and such other duties as the Caucus Board may designate.
Secretary: The Secretary of the Caucus shall have the authority commonly designated and vested in the office of Secretary and shall perform all related duties including retaining the original or a copy of Caucus agreements, policies and procedures as well as maintaining minutes of all meetings of the Board and, if directed by the Board, meetings of committees and of members. The Secretary shall also assure that all notices are duly given in accordance with the provisions of this agreement.
